Temple is a lifelong educator and researcher dedicated to ensuring that the door to educational opportunity remains accessible to every learner. She has a deeply held belief that when each learner is safe, believes they are welcome, and are fully understood, they are able to chart a pathway to success that knows no limit.

Oluko Learning is born out of over a decade of projects that test the boundaries of what is possible in education. In 2018, Temple launched a groundbreaking cooperative incubator for future-focused educational research and technology in the School of Education at Duquesne University. There, she developed an innovative research and development methodology now being implemented by organizations across the United States. Her successful community-engaged programs—Youth Leading Change, Education Uncontained, and Girlhood Rising—have empowered educators and students to conduct localized R&D that bridges innovation and effective learning practices.

Now, as a visiting scholar at the Gordon Institute for Advanced Study at Teachers College, Columbia University, Temple's research explores the role of context-capable assessment and learning so that we can understand the fullness of how learners explore their world and translate that to more modernized understandings of child development. A respected voice in educational innovation, Temple has published on assessment design and student-centered learning approaches with the hope that educators, caregivers, and even learners themselves can co-create a future where all learners thrive.
