A single great counselor or a one-time workshop can help a handful of students. It rarely survives staff turnover or a tight budget year. Contigo Ed exists to fix that: it partners with K-12 districts, colleges, and community organizations to build the training, data tools, and systems that make college and career support a permanent and robust part of how a school runs.
Since incubating with Cambiar, Contigo Ed has partnered with more than 200 districts and organizations, reaching over 2.8 million students, with a 97% client satisfaction rate. Their district partners have seen college readiness rates climb from 52% to nearly 88%, college application rates surpass 90%, and real growth in advanced coursework. Beyond the numbers, Contigo Ed leaves behind something that lasts: new leadership roles, live data dashboards, and strategies that keep working for years after the partnership ends.

Donald spent 16 years at YES Prep, where, as its first Director of College Counseling, he built a program that became a national model for helping first-generation, low-income students get to and through college. He later led Character Lab, a nonprofit advancing the science of character development, before founding Contigo Ed to bring what he'd learned to schools nationwide. Donald spent his career sitting across the table from students and families, helping them navigate a system that wasn't built with them in mind. Contigo Ed puts that same hard-won experience in the hands of every counselor doing that work today.
