OnYourMark is an early literacy tutoring initiative bringing individualized and science-based foundational skills reading instruction to K-2 students across the country through virtual high impact tutoring.

Vanessa serves as a Data and Analyst Associate at OnYourMark. In her role she is responsible for data collection, analysis, and visualization to help answer internal and external stakeholder questions about all aspects of the OYM program. Vanessa is responsible for supporting the organization’s research agenda by  conducting statistical analysis of our program impact that will guide decision making.

Before joining OnYourMark, she supported public charter schools in DC with data analytics by combining technical skills in SQL, Python, and Tableau. At Qualcomm, she analyzed STEAM program data and developed culturally-relevant engineering curricula for education sites around the country.

Vanessa served in the Peace Corps as an Early Literacy teacher and later co-founded the first KIPP middle school in Miami as an ELA teacher.

Originally from Florida, Vanessa loves to visit our nation's many national parks and travel to explore the incredible foods and cultures of our great and expansive world! 

Vanessa holds a B.A. in Child Study and Human Development from Tufts University.
