Maryia Krivoruchko is Director of the HQIM Portfolio at Cambiar Education.
As Director of the HQIM Portfolio at Cambiar, Maryia advances the work of non-profit organizations developing high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) by providing strategic funding, technical assistance, and research support.
Maryia brings deep experience in education, beginning as a Teach For America corps member and special education teacher in the Bay Area. She later led blended learning initiatives and Common Core implementation as a lead elementary teacher in Los Angeles. She went on to support talent processes and teacher development at Green Dot Public Schools before joining Pivot Learning, where she led curriculum projects across California and launched the organization’s first Innovation Team. There, she focused on designing and scaling innovative projects to support multilingual learners and drive the adoption of effective HQIM. Most recently, she built and led project management systems at UnboundEd to improve enterprise-wide collaboration and impact.
An immigrant and proud graduate of California public schools, Maryia holds a B.A. in Linguistics and Psychology from UCLA, an MPP in K–12 Education Policy from Vanderbilt, a California teaching credential, and PMP® and TESOL certifications. She lives in Southern California with her husband and their beloved cat, and enjoys running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
